Basketball Recap: Diboll Comes Up Short

Diboll came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Huntington Red Devils by a score of 47-44 on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 45-39.

When it comes to explaining why Diboll lost, don't look at Michael Mosley. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points and eight boards. Those 13 points gave Mosley a new career-high. Tyrece Mcmillan was another key player, putting up ten points.

Diboll is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14. As for Huntington, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-21 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Woodville the next time they take the court. Huntington will host Woodville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Diboll will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
