Baseball Recap: Frewsburg Snags 15th Victory in Last 18 Games

While Frewsburg put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Randolph. The Bears were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Cardinals. Considering the Bears have won 16 matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aidan Gruber and Gavin Weaver made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Gruber kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Weaver pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gruber has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Gruber went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI, while Weaver went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Frewsburg got a big performance out of Chase Haglund, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Haglund has posted since back in April. Daniel Peterson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Frewsburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Randolph only posted a batting average of .071.

Frewsburg is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Randolph, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

As of now, neither Frewsburg nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
