Softball Recap: Shadow Mountain Takes a Loss

Shadow Mountain was the 13-8 winner over Goldwater when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Matadors fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 17-16 on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (13), the Matadors still had to take the loss.

Shadow Mountain dropped their record down to 7-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Goldwater, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-9 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Mountain will venture away from home to square off against Mingus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Matadors are facing the Marauders at the right time seeing as the Marauders are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Goldwater, they will head out to challenge Agua Fria at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
