Basketball Game Preview: Gooding Senators vs. Filer Wildcats

Gooding is 1-9 against Filer since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Gooding Senators will take on the Filer Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Gooding is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Thursday. They were beaten by Filer 58-29. The Senators were down 48-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Gooding saw an underclassman step up: freshman Camryn Rycraft dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Rycraft has posted since back in December of 2024.

The victory (which was Filer's third in a row) raised their record to 10-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Gooding, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
