Baseball Game Preview: Loudoun Valley Vikings vs. Broad Run Spartans

The Loudoun Valley Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Broad Run Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Broad Run took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Loudoun Valley, who comes in off a win.

Loudoun Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Riverside on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Broad Run suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Potomac Falls by a score of 3-1.

Broad Run saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JP Aesoph, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Broad Run now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Loudoun Valley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Loudoun Valley's way against Broad Run in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Loudoun Valley made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loudoun Valley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
