Galatia had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They really took it to the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-39 win. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Galatia had a senior duo take command as Connor Ammon dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards and Eli Hankins dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Hankins' fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Will Puckett, who posted six points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Galatia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Lucas Rogers and River Freeman certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rogers earned 21 points and five rebounds, while Freeman dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds Freeman has posted since back in December of 2024.

Galatia pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

Looking ahead, Galatia will be playing in front of their home fans against Johnston City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they will host Agape Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
