Baseball Recap: Fisher Gators vs. Madison Prep Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fisher). They were the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Madison Prep Academy on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Gators needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Tyler Mike made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Charles Shamp was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Fisher is undefeated when Shamp posts two or more runs, but 0-2-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Peyton Leblanc, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
