Basketball Game Preview: Stuart Hall Dragons vs. Blue Ridge Barons

The Stuart Hall Dragons will take on the Blue Ridge Barons in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Stuart Hall has six wins , while Blue Ridge has nine dating back to last season).

Last Friday, Stuart Hall was fully in charge, breezing past Tandem Friends 87-54. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Blue Ridge is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Riverdale Baptist. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Blue Ridge made off with a 51-50 win over Riverdale Baptist. The 51-point effort marked the Barons' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Stuart Hall better keep an eye on Dreylan Creasy-Quirindoongo. He was instrumental in Blue Ridge's win, going 10 for 17 on his way to 26 points. The dominant performance gave Creasy-Quirindoongo a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baur Lloyd, who posted nine points.

Blue Ridge's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Stuart Hall, their record now sits at 6-0.
