Alhambra hadn't done well against Acalanes recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Dons. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Dons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Keegan Murdock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Tran, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Cowperthwaite, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Alhambra and bumps their season record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Acalanes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5-1 record this season.

Alhambra will have a chance to go back-to-back against Acalanes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
