Softball Recap: Huntsville Find Success

Huntsville won the last time they faced Porter and things went their way on Thursday too. The Huntsville Hornets walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Porter Spartans.

The team relied heavily on Angelique Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Jazira Enriquez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Huntsville's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Porter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Huntsville will be playing in front of their home fans against Silsbee at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Porter, they will head out to square off against Hempstead at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
