Edison entered their tilt with Lanier on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Voks a 12-0 shutout. The Golden Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Tristen Henderson was incredible, scoring a run and stealing six bases while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Narvaez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Edison pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Lanier, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Edison will square off against rival Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Bears 2.2, the Mustangs 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lanier is set to take on their familiar foe Burbank at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
