Basketball Recap: Lopez Takes a Loss

Lopez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Weslaco East Wildcats and fell 67-34. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1099th, while the Wildcats are ranked 249th).

Lopez's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Weslaco East, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Lopez will be home for the holidays to greet Harlingen South at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weslaco East, they will head out to square off against Donna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
