Football Game Preview: Central Bears vs. Crystal River Pirates + How To Watch

Central is 1-6 against Crystal River since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bears will look to defend their home field against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Central's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Hernando last Friday. They fell 13-0 to the Leopards. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Crystal River also failed to score in their most recent game. They were beaten by The Villages Charter 49-0 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Buffalo: they've now lost four in a row.

Crystal River's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Central was dealt a bruising 42-7 loss at the hands of Crystal River when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bears were down 35-0.
