Basketball Game Preview: Enka Jets vs. Pisgah Bears + How To Watch

Enka is 9-1 against Pisgah since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Jets will host the Bears at 8:00 p.m. Enka knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Pisgah likes a good challenge.

While Enka didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 91-82 win over Tuscola on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won seven in a row.

Enka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hyatt Middleton, who went 8-for-20 en route to 24 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The contest was Middleton's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Trantham, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 27 points.

Enka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Pisgah gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Erwin 54-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since January 7th.

Enka's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pisgah, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Enka didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pisgah in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 79-74 win. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
