Volleyball Recap: Corry Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Corry walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Bald Eagle Area Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Beavers, who have now won five contests in a row.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nora Eppley, who had 16 digs and two aces. Eppley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Angellotti, who had five digs, two aces, and one block.

Corry's victory bumped their record up to 42-2-7. As for Bald Eagle Area, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 27-8-2 record.

Corry has already played their next matchup (against Avonworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bald Eagle Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
