Basketball Recap: Annapolis Area Christian Takes a Loss

Annapolis Area Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Park School Bruins. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Bruins are ranked 108th).

Park School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Zirkin, who posted 15 points. Meredith White was another key player, putting up ten points.

Annapolis Area Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Park School, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

Coming up, Annapolis Area Christian will challenge Concordia Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Concordia Prep's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Annapolis Area Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Park School, they will head out on the road to face off against City College at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. City College will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Park School surely won't give up without a fight.
