Softball Recap: Oak Mountain Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Oak Mountain waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Faith Academy Rams 6-4. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Marian Cummings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Cummings was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Sheridan Andrews was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Monosky, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Oak Mountain's win bumped their record up to 23-15. As for Faith Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1.

As of now, neither Oak Mountain nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
