Basketball Game Preview: Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors vs. Chesnee Eagles

The Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Chesnee Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

Spartanburg Christian Academy came up short against Chesnee on Thursday, falling 72-50. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Eagles are ranked 82nd).

Spartanburg Christian Academy better keep an eye on Elijah Brown. He was instrumental in Chesnee's win, going 16 for 20 on his way to 40 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Brown's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Reese, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points and six steals.

Spartanburg Christian Academy dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chesnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
