After a string of five wins, Hatch Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hot Springs Tigers by a score of 16-14. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 9-4.

ALAN RUIZ and MIGUEL MARQUEZ stepped up to the plate in a big way. RUIZ got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while MARQUEZ went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. ADRIAN VASQUEZ was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Hatch Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Hot Springs, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hatch Valley will venture away from home to take on Cobre at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Hot Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Tularosa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
