Football Game Preview: Douglas Trojans vs. Sutherlin Bulldogs + How To Watch

Douglas is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will welcome the Sutherlin Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Douglas was just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to Sisters. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Douglas got top-tier performance from Jaden Burkhart, who rushed for 115 yards and six TDs. The Trojans also got help from Reese Willis, who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.

Douglas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Niel Kelly and Devon Taylor.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sutherlin). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 53-6 win over Klamath Union. With the Bulldogs ahead 21-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Sutherlin's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Douglas, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Douglas took their win against Sutherlin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 39-14 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
