Recap: Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves vs. Thornton Fractional North Meteors
The Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 51-30 defeat at the hands of Thornton Fractional North. Thornton Fractional South was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Thornton Fractional North apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Jaylen Blakes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Thornton Fractional North, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Naiem Evans, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Thornton Fractional South has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Thornton Fractional North, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton Fractional South will challenge Blue Island Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Blue Island Eisenhower's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 contests. Thornton Fractional North will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hillcrest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 240 points over their last four games.
