Brendan Boynton put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Lawrence North is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 11-13 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Boynton and Lawrence North will face off against Warren Central at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Thanks in part to Boynton's efforts, the Wildcats will roll in on a six-game winning streak.
