Baseball Recap: Bergenfield Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bergenfield can now relate to. They fell 10-5 to the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles on Thursday. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Bergenfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. As for Morris Knolls, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Bergenfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morris Knolls, they will square off against NV - Old Tappan on Tuesday. The Golden Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
