Baseball Game Preview: Marshall Rams vs. Stevens Falcons

Marshall is 1-9 against Stevens since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rams will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Stevens took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Marshall, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Marshall was able to grind out a solid victory over Holmes, taking the game 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

O'Connor hit Stevens with a four-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-5. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Aaron Sanchez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was John Tejeda, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Marshall back to even at 11-11-1. As for Stevens, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13-1.

Marshall skirted past Stevens 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
