Basketball Recap: Clinch Comes Up Short

Clinch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the White Academy Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-21 last Friday.

White Academy was led to victory by Gracie Blair and Macy England. Blair posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and five steals, while England earned 11 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Blair a new career-high in points.

Clinch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for White Academy, their victory ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-15.

Clinch will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Greene at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. White Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
