Softball Game Preview: Timberlake Tigers vs. Colville Crimson Hawks

The Timberlake Tigers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Colville Crimson Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Timberlake, who comes in off a win.

Timberlake will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Rogers on Tuesday. Timberlake put the hurt on Rogers with a sharp 20-2 win. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Shae Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Jones was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Prestyn Gardner, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Allanah Winland was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Timberlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Colville lost 14-8 to Eisenhower on Saturday. The Crimson Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
