Baseball Recap: West Field Victorious

West Field's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Payson Lions 8-6.

Kanyon Pratt made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Pratt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Penland, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

West Field now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Payson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, West Field will face off against Olympus at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Payson, they are on the road again on Friday to play Copper Hills at 10:30 a.m.
