Volleyball Recap: Elm Creek Takes a Loss

Elm Creek lost against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Buffaloes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Chelsea Kottich paced Elm Creek's offense, picking up seven kills. Kottich got some help from Ava Hellriegel and her 15 assists. Ashlyn Hellriegel controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Elm Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Elm Creek has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Loomis on the 25th. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, they will head out to take on Ansley/Litchfield at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
