Soccer Game Preview: Vidor vs. Silsbee

The Vidor Pirates will face off against the Silsbee Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Vidor's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged Jasper out 1-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Vidor's one-goal win came courtesy of Braiden Ramos, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Silsbee's offense. They lost 5-0 to Lumberton on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Vidor's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Silsbee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
