Volleyball Recap: Meridian Has No Trouble Against East Butler

Meridian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the East Butler Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Meridian was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-15.

Jetta Stewart paced Meridian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Stewart got some help from Olivia Schafer and her 20 assists. Stewart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for East Butler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Meridian has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 25th. As for East Butler, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Parkview Christian on the 25th.
