Soccer Game Preview: Jasper vs. Lumberton

Jasper is 0-9 against Lumberton since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Jasper Bulldogs will host the Lumberton Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Jasper turned things around against Bridge City on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Lumberton entered their tilt with Vidor on Friday with 11 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 12. They never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Raiders' winning goal came courtesy of Brenley Alford.

Lumberton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five contests. As for Jasper, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-9.
