Baseball Game Preview: Red Springs Red Devils vs. West Bladen Knights

For the second straight game, Red Springs will face off against West Bladen. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Red Springs has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight defeats, while West Bladen will come in with seven straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Red Springs' offense. They lost 10-0 to West Bladen on Tuesday.

For West Bladen's part, they got a big performance out of JT Hepler, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Hepler a new career-high. Hunter Hester was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

West Bladen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in three consecutive contests.

West Bladen pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Red Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
