Basketball Recap: Coolidge Now 12-3 over Last 15 Games

Coolidge won the last time they faced Takoma Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Coolidge Colts managed a 66-61 victory over the Takoma Academy Tigers. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fifth in District of Columbia, while the Tigers are ranked 105th in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coolidge has also been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Takoma Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Coolidge will look to defend their home court on Monday against School Without Walls at 6:15 p.m. Coolidge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully School Without Walls likes a good challenge. As for Takoma Academy, they will head out to challenge Calverton on Monday. Takoma Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 183 points over their last three games.
