Basketball Game Preview: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. Enterprise Wolves

Water Canyon is 0-3 against Enterprise since December of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Water Canyon Wildcats will head out to square off against the Enterprise Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Water Canyon will be strutting in after a win while Enterprise will be coming in after a loss.

Water Canyon will head into Monday's match after some sweet revenge against Parowan: Water Canyon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Parowan, but still couldn't quite topple them. Water Canyon breezed by Parowan to the tune of 55-28 on Monday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

Martha Jessop was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. What's more, she also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alysha Cooke, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Enterprise entered their contest against Beaver on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Enterprise fell 39-30 to Beaver. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Enterprise's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-8. As for Water Canyon, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-7.

Water Canyon was dealt a bruising 74-40 loss at the hands of Enterprise in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Water Canyon was down 44-19.
