Basketball Recap: Charleston Beats Oran for Their Fourth Straight Win

Charleston had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 74-52 margin over the Oran Eagles. The Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Charleston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Treshaun Schandon, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Schandon has become a key player for Charleston: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 7-9 otherwise. Trenez Lane was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Charleston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are 13-5 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Charleston's record is now 14-10. As for Oran, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Coming up, Charleston will challenge Puxico at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Puxico knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Charleston likes a good challenge. Oran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
