Basketball Recap: Addison Poston Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Holbrook

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pima, Round Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They secured a 40-36 W over the Holbrook Roadrunners. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Elks also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Round Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Poston, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Poston has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Hannah Clark, who posted seven points and four steals.

Round Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Holbrook, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Round Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-24 victory against Kingman on the 12th. As for Holbrook, they and Camp Verde will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
