Baseball Game Preview: East Columbus Gators vs. South Columbus Stallions

For the second straight game, East Columbus will face off against South Columbus. East Columbus will welcome South Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Columbus 4, South Columbus 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, East Columbus came up short against South Columbus and fell 7-4. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by exactly three runs.

Mack Freeman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Waddell, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

The win (which was South Columbus' sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Columbus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
