Coginchaug Regional entered their tilt with Valley Regional on Thursday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Valley Regional Warriors with a sharp 70-50 victory. The score was close at the half, but the Blue Devils pulled away in the second half with 42 points.

Despite the loss, Valley Regional still got an impressive performance from Rex Grabowski, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Grabowski's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Troy, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Coginchaug Regional's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Valley Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Coginchaug Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-60 loss against East Hampton on the 22nd. Valley Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
