West Bridgewater took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Bourne, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Canalmen 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 30, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Emma Croce, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Brianna LaGrange was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

West Bridgewater now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bourne, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
