Baseball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Gets the Win

The Legacy Christian Academy Lions were able to grind out a solid victory over the Orange Cove Titans on Tuesday, taking the game 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Caden Nunez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Highfill, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season. Lincoln Brown was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Legacy Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Orange Cove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Legacy Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Laton on the 21st. As for Orange Cove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Woodlake on the 20th.
