The Midview Middies will venture away from home to challenge the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Midview is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
On Thursday, Midview needed a bit of extra time to put away Elyria. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pioneers 3-2.

Cody Martin tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaiden Vogelpohl, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Midview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-10 when he doesn't). Chase Harper was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Olmsted Falls hadn't done well against Berea-Midpark recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Titans a 10-0 shutout. The Bulldogs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024 (when they won 12-2).
Berea-Midpark's batters probably weren't too happy with Joey Goetz, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up zero walks).
At the plate, Olmsted Falls let Jack Perkins and Sam Kolasky run wild. Perkins went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Kolasky went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Cam Pesch also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Midview's record now sits at 6-11. As for Olmsted Falls, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9-1.
Midview came out on top in a nail-biter against Olmsted Falls in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Middies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
