Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

In Monday's Canine Competition, Madison had to take the L. They fell just short of the Lisbon Greyhounds by a score of 5-4 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Greyhounds: they've now lost four in a row.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lisbon, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Madison will take on Monmouth Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Lisbon, they will square off against Mountain Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
