Villa Madonna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Ludlow Panthers 91-56. One positive for the Vikings, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Quinn Thomas and Mike Callioni certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Thomas went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, while Callioni went 8 of 16 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Brandstetter, who posted eight points.

Villa Madonna's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ludlow, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Villa Madonna didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-52 victory against Williamstown on the 14th. As for Ludlow, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ludlow Panthers face off against the Bellevue Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ludlow's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
