Softball Recap: Wiregrass Comes Up Short

Ezekiel Academy hit Wiregrass with a ten-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Kings lost 11-1 to the Knights. The Kings haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Wiregrass saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Dodson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Wiregrass' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ezekiel Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-6.

Looking ahead, Wiregrass will host Evangel Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Kings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lightning have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Ezekiel Academy, they will take on Southern Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.13 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
