Baseball Recap: Jack Britt Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Jack Britt finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Pinecrest Patriots. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Buccaneers, who until this matchup were averaging 4.09 runs allowed.

Jack Britt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pierce Strickland, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Alex Jones was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
