Softball Recap: Interlachen Takes a Loss

Interlachen was the 12-7 winner over Peniel Baptist Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Interlachen came up short against Peniel Baptist Academy on Monday, falling 9-3. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Annie Lanahan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

Interlachen's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Interlachen will take on Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, they will square off against St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Johns Country Day has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.2 runs per game on average), something Peniel Baptist Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
