Volleyball Recap: Monarch Comes Up Short

Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the San Diego Academy Cavaliers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-15.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for San Diego Academy, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Monarch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Cristo Rey on the 2nd. San Diego Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Health Sciences), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
