Basketball Recap: Wyatt Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Side last Tuesday, Wyatt came back down to earth. The Wyatt Chaparrals came up short against the Paschal Panthers on Friday, falling 67-47. While losing is never fun, the Chaparrals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1086th, while the Panthers are ranked 218th).

Wyatt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Paschal, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Wyatt has already played their next matchup (against Polytechnic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Paschal is taking a road trip to challenge North Side at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paschal knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully North Side likes a good challenge.
