South Stanly won the last time they faced Central Academy of Technology & Arts and Kanija Colson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 51-39 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Colson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 17 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Central Academy of Technology & Arts' loss came despite strong showings from Justice Hegwood and Nia Udenze. Hegwood posted 24 points along with seven steals and six boards, while Udenze put up four points in addition to 15 rebounds, six blocks, and five steals. That was a full 61.5% of the Cougars' points, marking the third time in a row Hegwood has earned more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got South Stanly back to even at 1-1. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
