Basketball Recap: Space Coast Piles Up the Points Against Titusville

Space Coast's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They claimed a resounding 64-36 win over the Titusville Terriers. The Vipers pushed the score to 46-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Terriers had little chance of recovering from.

Space Coast found their leader in freshman Lashiya Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamiiah Jenkins, who posted 14 points and six steals.

Space Coast was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Titusville only racked up six assists.

Titusville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Braniyah Brown, who had two points in addition to 14 boards, five blocks, and three steals. Brown is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kennedie Sanders, who posted ten points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Space Coast now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Titusville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Space Coast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-36 victory against Anacostia on the 27th. As for Titusville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-30 win against Cocoa Beach on the 20th.
